7/28 Lessons UPDATE: Our trumpet section is leading the way, by far, with SIX members taking lessons. In the biggest section of the band, clarinets, there are now five clarinets who have taken at least one lesson. Five out of over 20 is a little better! Flute section has 4 that I know of, plus 2 "maybees". Low Brass has ONE, with 1 more possibles. Percussion has one and Sax also has one that I know of. It is frustrating to have a such a big band and have so few taking lessons, even when lessons are FREE!!! No, it is not too late to start! Do it today!!!!

The Standard Warrior Band has a long history of winning awards both indoors and outdoors. The SWB received California Music Educators Association "SUPERIOR" ratings in 1993-94-95-96, 1998-99-00-01, 2006-07-08 -09, and for the first time EVER, FIVE YEARS IN A ROW... 2010!!!! A champion is a champion long before the trophies are awarded!!!! You gotta have a FITB!!!!
