Ben&Jerrys National Free Cone Day 3/23

Handouts went home with GUARD 3/4, and Warrior/Concert Band 3/5

The Local B&J's (East Hills Mall) is participating in Free Cone Day,  ALL DAY on 3/23.  The local owner was so impressed with the WMB&CG last year that he has invited us to perform for this event at 5:30pm (PLEASE SEE HANDOUTS).

THE CATCH: NO SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION WILL BE PROVIDED.  This event is voluntary but unless A LARGE MAJORITY of the band/guard volunteers, we will not be able to accept the invitation.  B&J's needs our answer ASAP.  SO,  we need to know from you ASAP..... 1) who can NOT perform on 3/23,  and 2) which parents can help furnish rides for others.

Trucks to haul instruments and equipment also needed.

NOTE for future planning:  B&J will be at SMS again this year for Ice Cream Social and  Open House on April 29. 5-8pm.  WMB&CG performs 5:45pm

The Standard Warrior Band has a long history of winning awards both indoors and outdoors. The SWB received California Music Educators Association "SUPERIOR" ratings in 1993-94-95-96, 1998-99-00-01, 2006-07-08 and NOW 2009!!!!! A champion is a champion long before the trophies are awarded!!!! You gotta have a FITB!!!!
