California Keyboards
Do not let the name fool you. They are a local store and also rent/sell band instruments and sheet music. They have a franchise with a nation-wide internet store, so their selction is huge and prices are good. Some of the band info links on their site were not working last time I checked, but at least you can get address and phone number from here.

Nick Rail Music  is in Santa Barbara and other southern CA locations. But they also have a representative who visits Bakersfield to provide local service. COMING SUMMER of 2009...NICK RAIL is opening a BAKERSFIELD LOCATION!!

Sheet Music Online (NEW 6-8-08) Just found this site. Seems to have good prices and selection if you are looking for music/song books for your individual instrument(s)
