Beginning Band Calendar
SMS Beginning Band Calendar 2011-2012 – 2nd semester
Students should bring instruments to the band room in the morning on every day that they have band. They must show up in class every band day their Yamaha Advantage book and their instruments.
IMPORTANT DATES
- * Spring Concert… May 10,2012 7pm (Beg. Band required attendance)
- * 6th Grade Concert .. Thursday May 24, 2012 … changed to 8th period (2:40pm)
6th Grade Beginning Band Schedule
6th graders will have band every other day, so most weeks will alternate MWF or TuTh. MONDAY Holidays may cause a class to have the same schedule two weeks in a row. Use the schedule below to help keep track!!
(Woodwinds) WW (A Days) = Saxes, Flutes, and Clarinets (Brass and Percussion) B&P (B Days) = All Brass instruments plus Percussion\
LS Wed = Late Start Wednesday
FOURTH QUARTER
- Week #1 3./26-3/30 … WW are MWF, B&P are TuTh (mini day on Friday for Vacation) DONE
- Week #2 4/9-4/13 … WW are WF, B&P are TuTh (No School on Monday 4/9)(LS Wed) DONE
- Week #3 4/16-4/20 … WW are TuTh, B&P are MWF DONE
- Week #4 4/23- 427 … WW are MWF, B&P are TuTh (STAR Testing )(LS Wed) DONE
- Week #5 4/30- 5/4 … WW are TuTh, B&P are MWF DONE
- Week #6 5/7-5/11 … WW are MWF, B&P are TuTh (LS Wed).. BRING INSTRUMENTS EVERY DAY!!!
- Week #7 5/14-5/18 … WW are TuTh, B&P are MWF
- Week #8 5/21-5/25 … WW are MWF, B&P are TuTh (LS Wed)
- Week #9 5?28-6/1 … WW are TuTH, B&P are W (NO SCHOOL Mon or Fri)(Th is mini day and LAST day of school)
