Welcome to the Standard Music Boosters page. Booster president for 2011-2012 is Melanie Hohler lilmlg_of3@yahoo.com. The Booster Club is a registered state/federal non-profit organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. The board is made up of parents and friends of the SMS music programs and meets once a month. Anyone is welcome to attend any board meeting.

Next Meeting

Our regular monthly meetings for 2012-13 are yet to be determined. August board meeting is Thursday 8/9 at 5:30pm.

FALL GENERAL MEETING for ALL band. beginning band and guard parents will be Thursday August 23, 2012 @5:45pm

News & Thanks

2011 Fireworks booth made $4663.92, way above last year and even above budget projection for this year.

Many thanks to all those who worked or donated for BTSN BBQ. Snow cones alone brought in $246, total was over $1200 ( 200+ above budget projection)…just have one bill to pay, and that is cafeteria worker salary of approx $80-100.

Candle Sale goal was to sell one thousand items and qualify for the 60% profit bonus on candles and make $6000. We sold 1,170 items and will make $7167 gross profit!

Pancakes and Pops was another great success! (but we need to figure out a way NOT to serve green eggs!) Approx. 550 paid breakfasts served. With donations keeping costs down, our profit was just over $2500, right about at our budget projections. Thanks to Mrs White and all the Booster Board members for working and organizing the breakfast! And Thanks to the all the kids for great performances.

Thanks to Mrs Leigh, Mrs Mendoza, and Mrs Hansen for helping with candy sale money counting! Candy sale net profit was just under $4000.

Thanks to Mrs White, Mrs Hansen, Mrs Riley, and Mr and Mrs Hohler (& co)for helping with snow cone machine. Over $300 profit!

Next Help Wanted (revised 5/12/12)

1) NOT TOO EARLY TO PLAN… 2012 Fireworks Booth workers NEEDED July 1-4! (MUST BE 18 or older), especially those who can work on July 4th! WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS, even if only for one shift!!!!!
